Macau-HK Tips and Budget

Tips

- If doing DIY, read info about Macau and Hong Kong (forums like PEX, Discover HongKong site etc.)

- Take note of the places you would like to go and search for their directions, para hindi maligaw, to maximize your stay

Macau

- In Macau, all transportation can be done by Hotel Shuttles, free pa, kesa mag-taxi :)
- We just used HKD in Macau, I've read na, hindi nagagamit ang MOP sa HK, but you can exchange naman your MOP to HKD before exiting Macau
- Hotels allow you to leave your luggages on their lobby for free..as far as I know, it's free for 24hours.
- 1 day is enough for Macau :) (in my opinion lang naman :P)
- Bring bonamine if your taking ferry from Macau to HK, lalo na kung hapon ang departure nyo, sobrang alon...or just take a nap, para mawala yung pagkahilo.

Hong Kong

- Stay near TST if you're into shopping, and malapit lang ang MTR station :)
- you can buy octupus card to avoid queues on MTR ticket booths, but in our case, we just bought single journey cards (ok naman, aside from hindi ako nabigyan ng change sa Sha Tin Station, hehe)
- Buy DisneyLand tickets prior to your preferred date, again, to avoid queues
- Mostly, guesthouses in HK offer discounted DisneyLand/Ocean Park tickets, you might want to inquire para makasave :)
- If you're travelling in this kind of Weather (Humid/Summer)... water, sunblock, fan and umbrella are necessities (yung mga takot sa araw, hehe)
- Sa DisneyLand may free hot water din, ang hilig nila sa hot water, haha..But there are water refill station near the toilets, ewan ko kung bakit laging malapit sa toilet, haha (dalawa ang nakita namin, Restaurant in front of The Golden Mickey at sa Toy Story Land..basta nasa Toilet area siya)
- You can bring snacks in DisneyLand, pero not meal, marami namang restau sa loob (more expensive compare sa labas)
- Check the schedules of each shows/attractions/parade
- Madali lang sundan ang MTR lines, just know your destination :)
