Cebu
Feb. 13-14, 2011
We already bought our tickets to Cebu online through Weesam.
Our hotel/hostel is really nice, compare to the room 1st room we had, when we arrived in Cebu from Manila.
We just rest for a bit, and ate the the popular Larsian. Where you need to eat using your hand. They will give you a disposable hand gloves (plastic gloves or small plastic bag like).
We really enjoyed the rice which is wrapped in banana leaves and the rest are mostly grilled seafood and meat.

Let's eat 😏 |
We were already full and it's time to shred some fats 😀
We first went to the Sto. Nino Basilica Church. Since it was Sunday, there's a lot of people listening to the mass. We light some candles and stayed until the mass ended.
Then time for pictures 😊

Magellan's Cross |
After Sto. Nino Basillica, we went straight to the Taoist temple.
There's no way for us to return to the city from Taoist temple, so we hired a cab from and to the city.
Upon entering the Taoist temple, the guards will give you some instructions on what to do's and dont's while inside the temple. There are some places that you are not allowed to take a picture, so just be aware (guilty here) 😅.
After that, we went to Taboan market to buy some dried fish.
At the market, they asked us if we're flying back to Manila, and we said yes. So they packed the dried fish in a very tight container. Because airlines will not allow you to bring these, even in checked bags, if they are not sealed.

I smell something fishy 😁 |
Next... CNT lechon. Your trip will not be complete if you will not experience the taste of CNT lechon. Lechon is a popular pork dish in Cebu. It is a whole roasted pig cooked over charcoal.
Well we did not eat it, we just bought it 😁. Because we want our Dad to taste it too.
CNT also have those tight container (they call it manila packing) for tourist who wants to bring it home 😉
And of course, we can't missed their food delicacies too from Shamrock.
Well, back to rest mode.
We weren't able to go to the Lapu Lapu shrine.
We said, we were just gonna visit it on our way to the airport, but after searching, it is kinda a bit far away... and we might miss our flight. Oh well...
